I have an urgent need of a script to do the following. I
am not familiar with scripting therefore, would highly
appreciate your help.

I have a service that runs on a "Win 2000 Terminal
Services client" box. However, this service sometimes go
down and has to be manually started. I am looking for a
generic script that will first stop a specific service
and then start the same service. We will have this
running whenever the services go down, so that we can
take out the manual process all together.

Any help will be helpful.

Regards,

Ayan

If this is a Windows 2000 box why you do not set the service to restart
itself if it stops? You can do that directly on the services folder on
Computer Management.
