I'm a freelance IT Technician and I support small businesses users.

A business user is getting the following error when he logs in to his
company web mail and tries to reply to an email "To use microsoft web access
script must be enabled on your browser. For information on how to enable the
script consult the help for you browser. If it does not activate contact
Microsoft."

The user is running IE7 on Vista Ultimate SP1 plus latest updates. I have
checked his web browser and "Run ActiveX Controls and Plug-ins" is enabled &
he has latest Java runtime installed.

I have tried enabling "Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as
safe .." and "Download Unsigned ActiveX controls" but he still gets the same
error. I have also tried reducing his security level for the Internet Zone
from Medium-high to Medium but this hasn't helped.

Can anyone advise?

'Active scripting' would also need to be set to 'enable' in 'Scripting'
section in that list of security options.

Any installed security software can also stop scripts from running.

Sorry, missed out that Active Scripting and Allow Scripting Of Aplets are
both enabled.

I'd try the Internet Explorer 'reset to default' buttons on both the
Security and Advanced tabs - and if that still doesn't do the trick then I'd
suspect other software that's installed.
