Our Windows 2000 users login using power user/user
accounts that do not have sufficient rights to run Windows
Updates.
I am interested in exploring a way to write a script that
will login as administrator and run patches from a
specified network location. Or, preferably, run
automation (if possible) to login as administrator and
download all updates from Microsoft updates site, then
reboot-- this seems more straightforward than writing a
script and pointing to patches on a network share. But, I
may be envisioniong something that is not possible?
If someone could help me with specifics on employing
either process, I would appreciate it. Thanks!
