I am encountering script errors when I play media content on
Windows Media Player 10 and Yahoo Launchcast on Yahoo Messenger.

I have a Windows XP SP2 with IE 6.

For Windows Media Player the following error appears:

Line: 16
Char: 2
Error: 'href' is null or not an object
Code: 0
URL:
http://radio.msn.com/radio/nowplayi...7NLgdbA5VGyP*OE8m0Z8WDnf6W*atrtrpvC6HCnZ0gBxo

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

On Yahoo messenger, when i connect to Launchcast it gives a server error
(which apparently a lot of users and experiencing)
and then suddenly this error msg appears:

Error: 'this.rapiWMP' is null or not an object
Code: 0
URL:
http://radio.launch.yahoo.com/radio...chRadioTarget&fs=undefined&lssid=76711&cc=784

What I have already done:

1. Clear cache on IE, adjust IE Temporary Internet Files (TIF) to 50MB.
2. On Advanced Internet Options unchecked "Display a notification about
every script error"
3. Checked "Disable script debugging (Others)" and "Disable script debugging
(Internet explorer)"
While doing this I noticed even if i uncheck them and go back to options,
it is checked automatically.
4. Run Anitspyware tools (Adware,Spybot,CrapCleaner,Adaware)
cos i read in a fourm it could be adware prompting these errors.

5. Reinstall WIndows Media Player 10.
6. Install MSXML Parser 3.0 and 4.0 (As advised by Yahoo help)
7. Reinstall scripting engine (found on the MS forum)
8. Disconnect Spybot resident shield and other anitspywares. I read on MS
support that probably the errors
occur because of some program accessing and checking TIFs.

Additional Info:

I had installed and run Spybot and Crap Cleaner for the first time before
these errors started appearing. I am not too
sure if they have made any changes to the registries.

I tried all this and still no luck. I am confused as to whether its an IE
fault or WMP fault. I wasnt able
to find any help on the MS Support pages for IE and WMP and am still in
touch with Yahoo to see whats causing the sever error.
