This happened to me after I "cleaned up" my machine; uninstalled a bunch of stuff I didn't use or need, deleted a lot of superfluous files and then defragmented my "C" drive. I spent two days researching this problem and trying every "fix" I could find on the web (a LOT of them)... all to no avail.
My advice to you?? Give up on MS. I installed Thunderbird and the problem went away. Importing your Windows Mail ".eml" files into Thunderbird is a bit challenging but it is doable and once you've done it, you've got a very nice email client... nicer and more stable than Windows Mail OR Windows Live Mail.
I'm a Vista user who is very unhappy with Vista's performance and MS's unwillingness to provide a simple and affordable upgrade path to Windows 7. I've ordered Ubuntu. If it works, I'm done with MS.

Script error on Mail messages

I use Windows Mail with Vista Home Premium. I get an error messag
"Internet Explorer Script Error" and I have to answer 'Yes'/'No' t
continue running scripts on the page. It doesn't seem to matter which
answer because once I click either one I can open the email message.
have already gone through the IE tools and clicked on "Disable Scrip
Debugging" and unclicked "Display Script Errors"
This still happens and it happens on a lot of my emails. I thought i
was only those that had attachments but it seems to happen to those wit
no attachments - if there are pictures on the page, it always happens
Can anyone help me - it is so annoying to have to go through this fo
almost ever email. :cry

Re: Script error on Mail messages
You can try turning off support for scripting
In Windows Mail: Tools, Options, Security: select the=2
restricted sites zone. This may also keep some of the fancie
HTML emails from rendering properly
Another possibility is that your IE is messed up, so tr
resetting it. In IE: Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, Reset
