I keep getting a script error in relation to an "invalid
character" each time i enter a page using I.E.. I am
using Windows XP with I.E. 6. How can I fix this?

If everything looks right on the webpage that you enter, disable script
debugging. Go to Tools > Options > Advanced. Check "Disable script
debugging" and uncheck "Display a notification about every script error".
Click OK.

You also might want to refresh your scripting engine:

Sometimes there's a corrupt file in the cache and one must go to Tools |
Internet Options and click Delete Files.
