script error

I am now getting and error message regarding scripting
indiscrimately at different web sites, including
microsoft. The error message goes something like this:

Character:2
Error: Object doesn't support this property or method
file://C:\WINNT\htwtb.bin

I have deleted the htwtb.bin file but it is replaced each
time I browse a page that goes looking for it.

I have run norton anti-virus, and it is not a virus.

I have set security settings to medium for this site.

I have re-installed ie6 2 times and none of these have
fixed the problem.

What should I do and how can I get it to stop? Please
help!!!

NOTE: on my 2nd computer, file://C:\WINNT\htwtb.bin is
attempting to be downloaded each time I go to a different
web page, but I cancel the download. How do I stop it from
doing that???

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Check the box to Disable script debugging.
Uncheck the box to Display a notification about every script error.
