script error

As soon as I got on internet explorer at this newsgroup,I
got this pop-up message,

An error has 0cccured in this the script on this page
line 1
char 2
object does not support this property or method.Do you
still want to run script on this page? Please let me know
if anyone knows what this error means.
 
May I suggest that you use Outlook Express to view newgroups? It's so much
better than using the kludgy web interface. Outlook Express is already on
your computer, and setting it up is easy. Post back if you have questions.

error message pops up on other sites. And I did'nt
include the url address that came with the error which is;
file://c:\windows\htwtb.bin I found the file on my
pc,under my user name but windows does not know what it
is and can't open it. The date of the file is 11/23/03.
so it's recent. I looked in internet explorer's web site
on the suject of script errors but none matched with my
error although simular. Is it an IE problem or java?
