I continually get a script error on various web pages
that say:
"Error: invalid object"
I believe that it is from active x controls. Does anyone
have any idea what causes this problem?

It may actually be a javascript that is failing. Any
ideas? Others with essentially the same build are not
experiencing this problem.

From http://www.fjsmjs.com/IE/scriptdb.htm

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Check the box to Disable script debugging.
Uncheck the box to Display a notification about every script error.

You might want to refresh your scripting engine:

Sometimes there's a corrupt file in the cache and one must go to Tools |
Internet Options and click Delete Files.
