I just restored my OS and now my screensavers don't work. I looked in
System32 folder and they are in there. Is there a fix for this or do I need
to restore the OS again?

Hi,

Define "don't work". Are you able to execute one by double clicking the .scr
file? Do you select one and set the time-out, then it doesn't come on? Often
times this latter problem occurs because some process is interfering.
Frequently this can be attributed to third party software, especially
antivirus software with agressive real-time scanning enabled.

If double clicking the .scr file in the system32 folder execute the process,
then you need to look at what background processes are running. Task Manager
can be used for this, or you can use Process Explorer from

When I set up a screensaver and click the preview button the screensaver
works.

What worked for me was installing software for my wireless mouse. The mouse
was causing the problem. I used Driver Detective to find driver.
