screensavers w/o install files

I have a screensaver file that I would really like to use, but the only way I can get it to activate is to double click on the file, but I dont know how to make it an option in the display properties dialog box...if it was Windows 98 or something, like I used to have, Id just put it in the Windows folder, but that doesnt work with XP

Try right clicking it and selecting "Install"
 
put the file in the Windows\System32 folder. Rename the file so that the
first two letters are ss (example: ss3dtext.scr)
