Here's a good one...I have a policy already set for 3/4 of my users, that
sets the screensaver for them, with a 15 minute timeout. Works beautifully
for those it's configured for. There's another account (shop) that's not in
an OU with that policy applied. Every place shop use logs on, the
screensaver doesn't apply. (So far so good). Except for one workstation,
where shop logs on, after 15 minutes, the screensaver engages, and locks the
computer. I've tried gpupdate /force (it's an XP machine), but the
screensaver insists on applying. The settings in the Display applet are all
grayed out, so I can't manually change them. I've tried making the shop
account a local admin on this PC, but that had no effect.
Any ideas on how I can get the screensaver to stop applying? I've even
tried deleting the .SCR file, but that had no success.
TIA,
Ken
