When my screensaver comes on and I stop it by touching
the mousepad, windows XP Home Edition takes me back to
the welcome screen. I have to double click my name to get
back to where I left the computer. Is there any way to
make this stop (i.e. allow me to return to the screen I
was using before the screensaver came on)? Many thanks
for your help.

Right-click on your Desktop and select:
Properties > Screensaver 'tab', then uncheck
the box next to "On resume, password protect",
then click Apply.

hi
you should remove go to your desktop properties & then
remove password for screen saver.
all the best

That Welcome Screen setting is what I was looking for.
I have installed WinXPSp1 over a few times but that
option vary between "On Resume, password protect" and "On
Resume, display Welcome screen".
How do I change it from the former to the latter?
