I've set my screen savor to show some photos. It starts out fine, but after
a few minutes all the photos change to black and white. Any ideas?

All of them? Or is it just going though the B&W collection that comes with
Vista? If it is all of them, check the screen saver settings .. if not there
then notify the video card's manufacturer and/or check for the latest
drviers. Drivers for Vista are coming out all over the place.

NOTE: Be aware the nVidia is having some teething problems with its drivers
and Vista, and ATI might be a better choice for new graphics card buyers
for the short term.

I wanted to make a joke about screen savor (or saviour) or somthing, but
couldn't think of a good one...

<Sorry> :-)

All the photos are in colour are they?
Are there any options in the screen saver to apply special effects to the
photos?
Is there some weird sort of power save thing that reverts the display to
colour when things are left untouched for a while?
Thinking about XP, when you do a Ctrl-Alt-Delete, when the menu to
Restart/Closedown/etc comes up, it sometimes seemed to revert to b/w...

Thanks. No, it's my own color photos. Again, they start off in color, but
then switch to b&w. I do have an Nvidia card, so that may be the issue, but
everything else displays fine. I guess I'll just live with it for a while
and see if things get better.

Thanks for your prompt response.

You've got the 'Random' theme selected under 'Settings'. One of the
'special effects' is 'Black and White'. Use another theme.
