Does anyone know how to "display Welcome Screen" after
screen saver is de-activated?

In the past, "Welcome Screen" has been the default
setting after screen saver is de-activated. For some
unknown reason, "Welcome Screen" has been replaced
with "Password Protect". The result is that only the
person who last used the computer can unlock the machine,
as opposed to any user with the correct password.

In the past, under Control Panel - Display - Screen
Saver - Wait xx minutes, on resume, DISPLAY WELCOME
SCREEN.

Instead, it now says "on resume, password protect".

Can anyone help me to change it back to how it was?
Thanks a lot!

Hi

Isn't 'On resume, display Welcome Screen' available via a right click on the
Desktop and then selecting Properties>Screen Saver?

Correct. It USED to say "On resume, display welcome
screen". But for some reason, it now says "On resume,
password protect".

This is what you will see if the Welcome Screen is not enabled. Check in
Control Panel/User Accounts/Change the way users log on and off to make sure
that it is enabled.

"Use the welcome screen" and "Use fast user switching"
are both already turned on. This doesn't help the
situation.... :-(

I'm having the exact same problem:

The text next to the checkbox in the "Properties > Screen Saver"
tab has changed from ON RESUME, DISPLAY WELCOME SCREEN to ON RESUME,
PASSWORD PROTECT and instead of switching to the welcome screen after
the screen saver is deactivated, I get the conventional w2k login
prompt.

"Use the Welcome Screen" and "Use Fast User Switching" are both
ENABLED.

I want my welcome screen back.
Thanks for any input ...
