Please can you tell me if it is possible to prolong the time the screen saver stays on before my PC goes into hibernation? My OS is Windows XP.

Hi,

Change the time here:

Right click the Desktop/Properties/Screen Saver tab.

Dear Kelly, I did what you proposed, but the only option is to chose how many minutes I want before the screen saver goes on, I didn't see any option how long I can keep it on. Any other ideas?

Hi,

Right-click the desktop, choose properties, go to screensavers tab,
click on energy settings, you can modify the time before the monitor
gets inactive here, check also the 'hibernation' tab..

Good luck

What is the edit file to use at the run prompt to disable administrative preset time
Thanks.........Perr
