Troubleshooting Screen Saver Issues in XP

The screen saver does not work when you use a Wireless Optical Desktop mouse on
a Windows XP SP2-based computer
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;911895
Posting from another user by the name of David:
"I figured out what the problem is. It's the Microsoft Wireless Mouse. If I
switch the mouse to one with a tail the screensaver works."
then David posted again
"I got a fix. I changed to connection to the computer using the USB to PS2
adapter that came with the mouse. Now I get the screensaver. I would be
interested to find out why this works."
Another checkpoint - make sure that a program is not causing the computer to
remain active. You may have a program running in the background that springs
into life when the computer is idle.

| The settings are fine but screen saver never runs.
| However they work when i click preview.
| I read this probable solution:delete "ehtray.axe"
| I dont have "ehtray" in startup or task manager, to delete it.
| What could I do?
|
| Thanks
