Screen Saver distorting Photos

The slide show I made for my screen saver worked fine for a while. Now the
pictures are distorted - stretched left-right to fill the screen. I have
tried rebooting several times; I have changed the screen saver to one of the
standards and back to the photos; I've tried putting the photos in a
different folder.

Is there a fix for this? I'm thinking a 2# hammer...

I have also posted this qiestion on the Music, Pictures & Video board

Thank You!

In your screen saver settings there is a box to "stretch small pictures"
Uncheck that box and try it.

I can't find the "stretch" box. I followed this path:start>control
panel>personalization>screen saver>photos>settings

Any other suggestions?

start>control panel>personalization>Desktop Background> scroll to bottom >

Thanks for the suggestion. The Desktop picture is fine. It's the screen saver
that's gone loopy. It was working fine until I'm not quite sure when. When I
initially set up the slide show everything was cool. Then at some point the
blasted thing decides to stretch the pictures. Arrrggghhh! Thanks anyway,
everybody.

Here's the latest wrinkle if anyone's out there:

I deleted all of the pictures and reloaded them from a CD. Guess what -
they're all distorted on the screen saver. Gettin' pretty frustrated...
