Screen resolution

Hi. I have some problems changing the screen resolution on my computer. I just installed windows XP on my computer again, and when I try to move the cursor in the control panel it does not move. Can it somehow be locked? When I start my computer it asks some questions about wanting to change the original setup. Off course I do. Can anyone help me?
 
The problem might be the video driver. You might be using the XP default
driver which might explain the low resolution. Go to the video card
manufacture's website and download the latest XP driver. Jym
