I installed Photoshop on my computer, which required a change in my monitor's
screen resolution to: 1024x768. The letters and icons are quite small on my
toolbars in IE6 and my desktop. I was wondering if there was a way to change
the size without affecting the Photoshop program? Any advise??

Reading between the lines, it would appear that you have a CRT monitor that
you previously ran at a resolution of 800 X 600, which you changed to 1024 X
768.

It is perfectly normal for letters and icons to appear much smaller. You are
packing 786,432 pixels (1024 X 786) into a space that formerly held 480,000
pixels (800 X 600).

There are some adjustments you can make, but if you're planning to run at
1024 X 768 you really should get a 17" CRT monitor (or a 15" LCD, which has
about the same viewable area.) And if you're planning to do some serious
work with Photoshop, you'll appreciate an even larger monitor.

Right-click on the desktop and select Properties, then go to the Appearance
tab. Change the font size to large or extra large. Now click on the Effects
button and put a checkmark in 'Use large icons'.
