Is it possible to have the screen resolution be changed,
even though the policy for control panel, and Desktop
context menu have been blocked and adapted. For say is it
a .ini file or a command line that can be modified or any
other ways to get around the screen resolution changes.
Don't want to get around it, just wanting to know how
someone is able to get bypass the policy. This is being
asked because one of our computer out of many has its
resolution changed constantly, either that user has the
admin password, or they know how to get around it.
~Thanks~

Are they able to remove and reinstall drivers for the graphics card. I
can't say for sure that is what they are doing or even if it would defeat
such a policy but it's worth checking. You might also make sure the
antivirus app on the machine is up to date and run a virus scan. Also be
sure there is no malware on the machine, download, run and install Ad Aware
and make sure you have the latest update for that as well:
www.lavasoftusa.com.

A virus or some malware might get around such a policy so again, it is worth
checking.

Also check to see if the person can accessibility features as some of those
can change the screen resolution as well. Start\All
Programs\Accessories\Accessibility. Again, I'm not sure these can get
around such a policy but it's worth checking.

One of my PCs was doing this and it stopped doing it when I updated the
drivers. Just a thought.
