screen resolution changes

I have somehow changed a parm that makes Access "take over".
my desktop is set to one resolution. Yet, when I execute Access, it "takes
over" my desk top to a much larger resolution. Then, when I close Access, my
desktop is back to it's original resolution size.

I've tried all the Tools/Options...

I just want the same resolution on the desktop.... regardless of whether
Access is executing or not.

Your help would be VERY much appreciated.
THANKS!!

If you are just opening Access and not a specific MDB file then I believe what
you're describing is quite impossible. Unless your copy of the Access
executable has been replaced with a different one.

There is no option in Access that does this. Now, if you are opening a specific
MDB or MDE file when this happens then the person who created that file has
added code to change your resolution. You would need to find that code and
disable it and if the code has been locked down (the file is an MDE) then there
is nothing you can do about it other than to stop opening that file.

Could it be an add-in that's doing it?

Interesting possibility. Are there things (code) that add-ins execute simply by
being included in the "add-ins" list or do you still have to call something from
your own file?

Many or most Word and Excel add-ins execute code as they are loaded
(e.g. to modify menus and toolbars), but so far I can't work out from
the documentation whether it's possible in an Access add-in.
