Screen Resolution and DPI problems

I am currently running Microsoft anitspyware beta on a
UXGA screen resolution (1600x1200), with a DPI set to 144
DPI. I think that because of this, my interface with the
program is difficult to use. I have to sometimes click
further down from a checkbox to activate it, and some
graphics in the porgram are coming up odd. The pop-ups
that come also are strange, with the border ending up too
small, and being at the top left edge. Is there anything
i can do to fix this, without changing the my screen res
to DPI?

Not that I know of. With the current UI, you'll need to set the DPI back to
the default to be able to read everything.

This will change by beta2, I'm sure.

I know the interface can improve for this. I do know that a lot of embedded
windows screens and other apps look odd and can be hard to read or even have
text run off or become covered when using high dpi settings. Most noticable
on my TV HTPC where I use 1024x768 output to the TV via S-video with a dpi
setting of about 120 to 160 dpi (can't remember now). I have several screens
where text is running off the page or is covered up. But that is because
most apps and even the OS are most designed for 96 dpi.

If Beta 2 actually makes any difference in this regards, I will be
surprized. Of course what visual oddity I see compared to what you see,
could be completely different. I have a 21" monitor that I used to use at
1600x1200, but the text at 96 normal dpi was just a little too small for me.
So I now use 1280x960 (to keep the same aspect ratio), instead of using
1280x1024. But 1280x1024 at 96dpi might be better if you have 144dpi set
just to make the text large because of using 1600x1200. Just a suggestion.
