I am running IE6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_grd.070227-2254. My system is a generic
system running an Intell Dual Core P 4 processor running at 2.5ghz. I have 2
gb of ram, and two drives, a 500ghz drive partitioned at two 250's and one
200ghz.
I use a NetGear Route, WNR854T. I connect to the internet through a Westtel
#61 DSL motem, through Bellsouth Fast Access DSL Service. I have used this
connection and modem for about 1 1/2 years. I have had the NetGeat Router
about 6 months.
Recently, about 50% of the time when I open IE, I get the message page not
found. I can usually refresh the screen, and the bellsouth.net homepage
appears, which is my default homepage. Occasionally, I have to completely
shut down my system, and/or reboot both my router and modem.
I have talked with both BellSouth, and NetGear, and neither one can find any
configuration problems.
Has anyone run across this problem before, and does anyone have any
suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have not upgraded to IE7 because I am an AFLAC associate, and AFLAC's tech
support tells me that IE7 causes problems with their proprirety software.
Thanks,
