Help you... what?
Sounds like you changed which output your monitor goes to. Not
knowing anything about your setup - that's pretty much all I have.
If you wish to reply in the newsgroups with more information
(Operating System verson, service pack level, video card(s) you
have, driver versions for those video cards, type of monitor
connection, number of monitors, etc) - perhaps someone can help you
with whatever issue you believe yourself to be having.

i only want to find out what is the problem
Then help those here help you...
I cannot see your configuration. I cannot see what you have connected. I
cannot know what you have done and what you have read and what you have
tried. I have to get all of that from your posting.
At this point - all I know is that you have a computer. It likely has
Windows XP on it (given where you decided to post your query) and you turned
it off one time and turned it on and the monitor showed 'disconnected' - the
orange (usually referred to as amber) light on your monitor means it was
getting no signal, green means 'good to go'. I could guess what you mean by
"when i connected the screen to the other port", but I am drawing a lot of
conclusions there without anything to back them up.
I asked some specific questions on purpose - to gain some insight as to what
your issue might be. I did not just ask the questions because I was bored
or did not care what your issue was - but because in order to help - some of
that information might be very useful.
Now - there is a possibility you just don't know how to answer those
questions - and that is fine. All you had to do is say, "I don't know how
to get any of that information..." and I am sure I could walk you through
it.
Having some experience with this - I would guess you have DVI connections
(wide and usually colored white on the end as opposed to smaller and usually
colored blue on the end) on your computer and even likely dual connections.
A button may have gotten pushed on your monitor that switched it from DVI to
VGA and thus - the next boot it couldn't find a signal on the VGA and it
showed nothing and the light stayed amber. When you disconnected and
reconnected to the other port, it auto-detected and switched back to DVI and
everything was fine. You could likely switch back to the original port if
that is the case.
However - it could be a whole host of other things too - and without some of
the information I requested originally - I am just shooting from the hip, in
the dark, blindfolded with ear-plugs, drunk and after being spun around and
around for 10 minutes. With just a little informatin - at least i would
have a place to start trying to assist you. ;-)
