Screen grapahics herky-jerky

What have I done?

I just posted a query about herky-jerky graphics using a ECS L7VMM3
MOBO (Athlon Duron 3100+) with 256M DDR. The MOBO has onboard
audio/video.

I did notice a slight hesitation on my machine in the graphics in
solitaire, so I went into the BIOS and set 'shared memory' from 32M to
0. Now the darned thing won't boot up at all (black screen). Boy
that wasn't something I should have done, huh?

I guess you call that failures to 'post'?

Anyway, now I get two beeps, followed by 8 beeps, then two beeps, then
nothing.

I am desperate. Delete key will not get me into the BIOS. In fact no
keyboard key gets any response.

Someone please help.

Try clearing the bios. You usually have a jumper you take off or put
on in some other way and it clears the settings.
