screen goes black

Hi
I am new to this so I hope someone can help me.. when I log on to my computer... after a few minutes I hear this beeping sound and then the task bar at the bottom of my screen goes black... and then after that the icons in my start up menu they go black... the beeping sound is the sound you hear when you play a video game its weird please I hope someone can help me its so frustrating..

That is a strange one. I heard of one of the newer virus files causing
video game like noise but I've never it heard it so I'm not sure how it
sounds exactly. Try going to http://securityresponse.symantec.com/ and
running their free online scanner just to make your there's no virus on your
system.
