Screen fully open by default?

Hi.

It would seem to me that with all of the geniuses in the world, someone
would have realized that it might be a good idea to allow a method to program
the way IE works when you first start it up.

I had this neat idea to have a command that would let you save the condition
of the screen when you have it the way you want it, and then IE would always
open up that way.

That way, when I click on the IE icon on my desktop, IE would start with the
screen completely open, and would save me the trouble of hitting F11, and
removing the pushpin that holds the "Favorites" tool bar in place.

And that's to say nothing of the way IE opens up with the screen in some
strange place and with some strange size on the monitor instead of centered
and maximized, although this usually happens when I open a screen by pushing
on a link that was on a screen I had already opened.

I mean, what if IE simply opened up with the toolbars already hidden, and
ready to slide out when you put the mouse on the edges. Wouldn't that be
great?!!! I am sooo cooool for thinking of this. I should get a lot of
money! Look: if you wanted the history of your browsing to appear
automatically when you place the mouse at the edge of the screen, you could
just set your pattern as you wished, and then hit F4 or F6 or something, and
forever afterwards, IE would open like that. That would be neat, no? The
whole thing could be automatic. Wow! IE would fire up with the entire
screen open, and the toolbar for "Favorites" would be ready and waiting to
appear. Gosh!

Of course, there could already be a way to do this, and it's just me that
doesn't know what it is. Maybe you do? Maybe you would respond? Maybe I
don't get a lot of money for my idea? Oh well...maybe there isn't any way to
do this, and I'll just have to suffer 'til the money comes in the mail.

I don't have any of the problems you describe. If I set Favorites to
Auto-hide, they are always there when I open OE.

As far as the window size and placement:

A few options:

Whichever shortcut you are using to launch the window, right click it and
select properties. Under the 'Run' drop-down, choose "Maximized".

If the window still opens small, try this next:

First, *close all other windows*. Now, grab the corners of the window and
drag it to full screen size. Close the window using File>Close, or File>Exit
depending what program you're in. Windows will remember the last screen size
used the next time you open the program.
