Windows XP screen flickering

my screen keeps flickering and changing sizes. does this mean i need a new monitor? if not what could the problem be?

LCD/TFT don't 'flicker' per say, however, the older CRT monitors can and do flicker, especially if you have the wrong screen resolution.

What is the operating system ?

What monitor ?

What is the graphics card ? ... may not be monitor at all

Are all drivers up to date ?

Desktop or laptop system ?

Make model of system ?

Bank details, nat ins num, address and a current bill to prove you are who you say your not.

Well, OK, maybe not the last one, but the other info will help us better to help you.

i dont know anything about drivers or computers i have windwos xp and have a AOV monitor
