My screen falls out on windows xp. It is a dell computer, I have called the
helpdesk and they say it is not the computer hardware since when I push on
f2, and go in the set up screen, not start up windows, the problem does not
occur. If I use another screen, it has the same effect so it is something in
the computer, system or screendevice card. ANy ideas?

Please answer in english, dutch or spanish.

called push does

It suddenly is totally black, like the power is off, but that's not the
case.

Just to check... are you sure this isn't the power saving system, which
switches off your screen after a certain period of inactivity? If it is,
then just pressing any key should switch the screen on again. You can change
the power saving settings in Start-->Control Panel-->Power Options.

No...It happens when you are working on the PC, not when you are inactive. I
would notice that this could be the issue, although I am not such a personal
computer specialist.

Furthermore if I use another screen, the other screen is also black, so it
is not the screen.

It could be a bug in those options nevertheless, may-be.
