Screen does not display the desktop

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help me. Yesterday when i started my
computer I was told to reinstall my monitor and that my driver couldn't be
found. I used my monitor cd nothing worked and then I went through the
troubleshoot and must have done somethign wrong because when I restarted I
couldn't see the desktop, but I can see stuff on the screen when its loading.
Does anyone know how I can fix this without being on the desktop to fix?

Thanks,
Samantha

Restart in the SAFE Mode
(keep tapping the F8 key as the computer starts and then choose SAFE Mode from the menu)
In the SAFE MODE, do a System Restore to a date and time prior to the problem.
The computer should boot back to a working condition.

If not let us know

Restart in Safe Mode and you should be able to reinstall the drivers
from there.

Hi,

I tried starting in safe mode, but it still doesn't do anything. It just
goes to load and then stops and the desktop doesn't open again. Thanks for
your help!
