One of my users has created a rather bizarre problem and
I wonder if anyone can help.
When the PC boots up the BIOS and initial XP screen
banner are displayed correctly. However when the log on
screen appears the entire display is flipped vertically.
Has anyone experienced this before or does anyone know
how to recitfy this??

Thanks
Paul

Unistall the current display drivers and download and
install drivers from your video card manufacturers
website.

Paul,

Many modern graphics drivers (for example Nvidia and Intel) have the
capability to rotate the screen around in 90degree increments, for example
to support "pivot" monitors that can be rotated to portrait mode. Sounds
like your user may have turned this mode on. Go to the display properties
dialog, click the Settings tab, then click the Advanced button, and look for
Rotation options in there.

Hope this helps,

-David Hollway.

If you don't see an error in the graphics card properties,
there are "joke viruses" that some people think are funny,
often these are installed by a co-worker just to have some
"harmless" fun.
