Screen color problems after update

I have set up custom colours in Windows - WHITE text and
TEAL background, and in Internet Explorer,

Tools>Options>Accessibility have checked >Ignore colors

specified on web pages<.
This has worked well until last Windows update when all
internet screen background colours changed to BLACK. No
matter what I do, I can't change the background colour.
Any one know what's happening here.
Thank God for restore points.

It's possible that the update changed the environment enough to require you
to either reinstall the drivers for your graphics card or check the graphics
card website for the latest drivers for your card.

Thanks for your reply. I have an ATI card with the latest
driver. Part of my problem solving was to reinstall XP
which did not resolve the issue.

Did you try removing and reinstalling the ATI driver.
