Screen capture?

I'm trying to capture screen shots for teachers at my
school to help them video edit but I can't seem to be
able to do so.

I've tried the print screen button but this doesn't seem
to save an image, can anyone help?
 
What program are you using for the paste? The capture is in the clipboard, open
Paint, paste, then save the image.
