Anyone know of a small program that will blank the screen by hitting a
key? Not a screen saver type thing, just something that runs in the
background and waits for the hotkey. Hit another key and you're back.

Like Winkey + D?

Thanks, but a bit too big. I'm looking for tiny, tiny with no bells
and whistles. Runs in tray waiting for hotkey. Any key or mouse
restores the screen. That's it. But, quite hard to find.

I run black.exe on 98SE.

It does not run in the background, F4 launches it instantly; my usual
PW is '1' which clears it at once.

[power off] button of your screen ? tiny: 0 byte on HD, no install, no even
a running task !
same [power on] button to going back, without bells&whistles :-)
Thanks anyway!

I tried that, but it takes a long time to resume work. And for some
reason I seem to loose my open files. :-/

Could it be the "Reset" button on the case he's hitting? :-)
(dives for cover)
