Screeen saver not working

I can't get the screen saver to work. I have changed the type and time
duration but it just doesn't start. How can I fix this?

on the screen where you change the screensaver.
click on the PREVIEW button.
if it runs there, then something is stopping it from running otherwise.

usually something active preventing it from starting.
if you use a wireless mouse.
try turning it upside down.
