scree to large for monitor

can you help me please ,when ever a new screen comes up it
is to large for monitor .I have a 17 inch monitor and I
can't get the picture so it is all on monitor. Thank You
 
Make sure you're using the latest WinXP video card drivers - get them from
the manufacturer's website & install it in device manager (control panel |
system).

Set your display resolution to something your card & monitor can
handle....right click on desktop, properties, settings.
