Scrambled Toolboxes

What is causing my desktop toolboxes to get scrambled after using some
programs or after I start up my computer? The toolboxes either scramble or
end up laid one on top of the other.

Annoying and distracting, and I have to take the time to re-situate them all
the time.

Would appreciate anyone's help. Thanks

Perhaps it would help if you told us *what* "desktop toolboxes" you're
talking about? WinXP has no such feature that I've ever heard of, at
least under the name of "desktop toolbox."
