Hi landy
You don't mention the version of Windows you are using so I can only guess
at a suggestion. Try the following and see if it helps
Check in IE>Tools>Internet Options>General>Accessibility
and Control Panel>Accessibility Options>Display
For normal viewing nothing should be checked in these sections. Also check
the setting in Control Panel>Accessibility Options>Display is set to Windows
Standard and make sure the High Contrast is not checked.
Go to>View>Encoding
Make sure the Auto Select is not checked, and language you want to use is
selected.
If you have more than one language installed, check to be sure the one you
want to use is at the top of the list under Languages on the Tools>Internet
Options>General tab
