Hi all. I'm having a little problem with an mpg video I recorded on my
computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I recorded a program from my tv tuner card, and noticed in two spots
that the picture became scrambled for a split second, before continuing
normally. I just viewed the recorded version (using Windows Media
Player), and the video simply stops the first time it encounters one of
these scrambled frames. I played the same video back using cyberlink
PowerDvd; it plays fine, and just shows the scrambled frames. I would
like to edit this video, and have tried (using ArcSoft showbiz) but the
resulting edited video just freezes the first time it encounters one of
these scrambled frames.

Here's a still:

Anyone know whats going on, and how I can fix it?

Thanks
Tom

You might try one of the frame accurate MPEG "Editors"
like VideoReDo www.VideoReDo.com

Thanks for your suggestion. I downloaded the editor, but get the same
problem. I can use the slider to get past the scrambled frames, but
when I play the video, it stops when it gets to the first scrambled
frame.

You mean where the "first scrambled frame" was? But you
should not get there, it's not there any more. If you cut out the
effected frames how are they effecting your playback?

Ok, it seems I missed a frame. I was little more careful the scond
time, and it works fine.
