scourge of the spyware - please help IE default page

im a novice on computers but have fortunately, with the help of a friend,
managed to disinfect my computer, although not totally, from spyware. My IE
default page still goes to 'security warning - spyware etc'. I have used the
new microsoft antispyware software but cannot change my homepage. I am also
still getting security warning pop-ups in the bottom right hand corner of my
screen. Can anyone help?
