I was not sure because in 2003 DNS you can chose what kind of scope you want
for a DNS zone.

Yes, if you had mentioned that it would not have sounded
so much like a homework question (i.e., bare and definitional).
As you by now know, there was only one "choice"
in Win2000 -- all DCs whether they were DNS servers
or not, and only within the same domain.
Win2003 offers a handful of choices to customize the
replication, and it is one of the excellent (even if minor)
improvements added in Win2003 Server.
