Are you saying that it opens the .pps file in PowerPoint in Normal view? Try
going to My Computer. Click on Tools > Folder Options > File Types. Locate
PPS and select it. Click on Advanced. In the list of Actions, do you see Show?
Is it in bold type? If so, leave it alone and post back here.
If Show is there, but not in bold type, select it and click on the Set Default
button. OK your way out of the dialogs.
If Show isn't there, add it using the New button. You want to put "S&how" in
the Action box without the quotes, and the full path to PowerPoint in the
"Application used to perform action" box. For example:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 2003\OFFICE11\POWERPNT.EXE" /s "%1" (*with
the quotes*).
The /s "%1" is required. Change the path to match the path on your system.
Let us know whether it now works.
