My MS AS will not run when scheduled either.

My scheduled time for running the MS AS is in the "wee"
hours of the morning when my computer is in a "sleep"
mode.

Note: This scheduled task is NOT listed in the MS
Scheduled Tasks.

So, my guess is that it runs from within MS AS itself,
and I have not found an option for "wake up computer" in
the window where you set the scheduled run times.

In MS Scheduled Tasks there is, for each specific task,
an option to "wake up the computer" that you can check so
the task can run.

How does one get around this omission? Other than to not
put the computer in a sleep mode - which defeats the
whole purpose of sleep mode.

I guess it is a "bug of omission."

Does MS know about this problem?

How do we inform them of it?

Any help or positive suggestions would be appreciated.

I've seen a number of other posts relating to both UI inconsistencies in the
scheduling areas, and questions about it running (or not running!) FWIW,
I've also seen a post indicating that there are command-line switches
related to scheduling, but I don't have that message handy, I'm afraid--a
google search of these groups if available might find it.

So--I believe Microsoft is aware of this area of the product having
significant shortcomings, but I'm glad you have posted the issue--these
messages are being read, I can assure you.

If you open the program to system summary and then click
on the spyware schedule scan radio button you can set to
scan on auto as follows:schedule scan as monthly, weekly,
daily.-set start time as you wish-as far as you wishing
to see scan results, de-select the following; Do not
display scanware results & Do not display scan progress,
these are on R.H. side of screen. Then click update
schedule. IF you would like to check this, set as above
to a couple of min. ahead of your system clock and wait.
P.S. this still will not create a scheduled task in the
scheduled task folder but will still run
