Scheduled tasks and "depth" of scan

I posted a message on 7/15/2005 10:20:13 AM, and got some
feedback, but nothing that has helped me fix my problem.
It is this:

When I set and save my "automatic schedule" for a scan, I
turn off the "deep scan" as it takes too long (50 minutes)
and impedes the operation of my computer. However, when I
turn the machine off and then reboot, the MSAS defaults
back to "deep scan."

Is there a fix for this and, if so, how can I execute it?

Id do. After clicking off "deep scan" in the MSAS
scheduler, and getting the confirmation that the schedule
had been changed, the next time I reboot, the MSAS
defaults back to the original settings ...
and "automatically" does the "deep scan."

Irritating and perplexing.
