Scheduled record ODDNESS?

Running MMC 9.08 on a Radeon 9800 AiW, I find that if I have the focus
set to the TV app, scheduled recordings don't kick in. If I simply
click on the desktop or another window to change the focus, it'll start
fine on schedule. This doesn't seem "right"... anyone else seen this?
