Scheduled Backup

I can create a scheduled backup and it works great the
first time. Unfortunately, each subsequent occurance
fails. The only way for the scheduled backup to work
properly is the Dealocate the media tape and Prepare the
tape both in Computer Management.

Does anyone know how to modify the scheduled backup to
include these two steps that I am having to complete
manually?
