Is there a way to schedule automatic fax receive in Windows XP Fax
Console? I want to be able to receive faxes on my second phone line
between 8am and 6pm.

I have tried macro editors, to simulate the keypresses required to
activate/deactivate automatic receive, but this is unsatisfactory.

Is there a registry key that enables/disables automatic receive?

Go to fax console, click on tools then click on Configure fax this will
bring up the wizard, click next until you see the sending and recieving
window, and you can check recieve automatically.

I know how to do this. I want to schedule the automatic receive to
start at a particular time.

You can't, XP fax is just a basic fax program, no bells or whistles

Aha, you can.

I've written two very simple macros in EXE format, one that will
switch on automatic receive, the other which will turn it off. They
assume that the fax program is stored in the folder
c:\windows\system32.

You can use them with Task Scehduler to switch on and off automatic
receive at particular times.

If anyone is interested, email me.

Well if you knew how to do this why did you ask how to do this????
