I want to setup Scavenging and Aging on the DNS server. I want to use the following parameters
1. Enable automatice scavenging of records with a scavenging period of 7 days on the serve
2. Set aging/scavening properties to 7 days for No-refresh Interval and 7 days for Refresh Interva
Would someone let me know if I am on the right track with these parameters
I am thinking if a RR is current and gets refresh then the RR will get a current time stamp + 7 + 7 implying a greater number than the current time stamp thus not be deleted.
I this assumtion correct
Also, ok to enable both Zone properties and Server properties at the same time?

Yes.

Have you even looked at the feature in the DNSMgmt.msc?
These are the defaults (last I checked.)

Yes, (pretty much if I understood clearly).

You must if you want it to scavenge.
You must enable the Server scavenging in general,
and each zone (you wish to scavenge) in particular.
