Scatter Plot: Change X-Axis Date

I am plotting a Variable [ ] against Time [MM/DD/YY HH:MM] in a Scatter Plot
(NOT LINE PLOT). Say I want to change the x-axis labels as such: Min =
02/17/09 06:00; Max = 02/18/09 06:00; Major Unit = 1:00. It used to be that
you would type those numbers in the respective sections of the "format axis"
window, but it appears that '07 Excel does not allow this?? Is there a
workaround, or do I seriously have to go back to calculating the actual
number (ie..Min = 39861.25; Max = 39862.25)? I'm going to be pretty annoyed
if they "engineered" that feature out of Excel.

If I remember correctly, it was broken in the initial release of 2007 and
fixed with SP1.

I noticed that this was fixed in SP1 when I started to write that it didn't
work. Fortunately I tried it out before posting.

This feature was "mistaken" out but "engineered" back in, giving hope that
other mistakes can be corrected.

I downloaded SP1 last night and there was no fix. You both are talking about
Scatter Plots (not line), correct? Thank you very much for your help.

Scatter plots, yes. And it works. Sometimes. Sporadically. Occasionally.
When you first fix the axis limits it seems to work. When you try to change
the limits, it doesn't always take, and it helps to change them to auto,
dismiss the dialog, then try again. Or maybe it helps to apply a number
format that includes date and time (in 2003 it didn't care).

So it's kind of buggy.

Doesn't appear to work for me. Good to know that yours is buggy as well.
Thank you very much. I would have been more annoyed if it worked flawlessly
for someone else and not me! They need to seriously fix this issue. I use
this feature every day.

I have the exact same problem with Excel 07 with SP1. Does anyone know if a
bug report has been submitted on this? I see that there is a SP2 now
available. Does anyone know if this problem is fixed in SP2? Thanks.
